Registration is at 335 players!!!
NEW UPDATE!!! EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY
Hockey Department has extended ALL PAHA games to 70 minutes instead of 60 minutes do to registration numbers. This will allow a fair playing time for all our players!!!
Below schedules are adjusted 10-15 minutes on game days to allow for change. Please let all know.

The Florida Panthers introduces its own Area Youth Hockey League
(No Plane Tickets, Rental Cars, Hotel Stays or Costly Dinners - Just plain, fast hockey at home).
Program designed to offer coaches and the competitive players the opportunity to pick and register their own team and play weekly competitive hockey without the commitment of travel. Players must have skills and desire to play at the competitive level.
Cost is 1490.00 per team ( just 149.00 per player)

The Panthers Spring Travel Hockey League will consist five divisions:
Mite – 2002-2003
Squirt – 2000-2001
Peewee – 1998-1999
Bantam – 1996-1997
Midget /HS– 1993,1994 and 1995 (new*** 92 players allowed)
Regular Season : March 15th 2010 – Mon May 3rd 2010
Championship Monday Mon May 10th 2010 featuring top 2 regular season teams
(Games will not conflict with PAHA or Gladiator Schedules)
Coaches must form teams of a minimum of 10 players and a Goalie

Spring 4on4 Gladiator League (Late March 2010-May 2010)

LEAGUE PURPOSE (flyer.pdf)
This league was designed to give Players and Coaches the opportunity to enter teams unlike the
traditional 4 on 4 that carry full size rosters. League will encompass the fun of Pond Hockey, the
speed and skill of Travel Hockey while building the conditioning level of each player.
REGISTRATION
Team Registrations only. (teamregistration.pdf)
TEAMS
Teams will be made up of 4 players and a goalie. Coaches can add 2 alternate players and
alternate goalie. Only 4 players and a goalie are allowed to participate at any one time.
GAMES
All games will be @ Incredible Ice and will not conflict with Spring PAHA or Panthers Competitive Youth League. Schedule will consist of primarily Tuesday pm games.
Games will be 20 minute running time. Each team is guaranteed 2 games on same night. These games could be back to back or have 20-30 minute intermission. Players will play for 20 minutes straight with no face-off other than start of game.
DIVISIONS OFFERED
Mite.Squirt, Peewee,Bantam,Midget /HS
SEASON
Seasons will be broken into two sessions – Session #1 March through May and Session #2 June
through August. Teams will play once per week but a minimum of 2 and maximum of 3 games in same day.
Each League shall Run 6 weeks and offer 12 games. Awards for Regular Season Champions.
COACHES
A USA Hockey certified coach must be in on bench for all games.
COST: $600.00 per team (120.00) per player. A Payment on one credit card must be made to register.

This programmed is designed as an entry level program to give our hockey 101-201 graduates a chance to interact, develop and play hockey in a team environment. Program adopted to fit within USA Hockeys "Cross ice" model. Each session will offer combined skills training with focus on the "fun"damentals. Program run continous throughout year in 16 week segmants.

Young Guns Hockey Clinic
Our "Young Guns" Hockey Clinic is designed to offer our youngest hockey players a class that enhances
fundamental hockey skills. These skills include skating, stick-handling, passing and shooting.
This 8 week class is open to kids 8 and under with the basic hockey and skating skills.
Every Friday at 5:10pm-6:10pm starting March 5th 2010

Girls Hockey Clinic (open to Girls of all ages)

GIRLS Hockey Clinic
Our Girls Hockey Clinic is designed to offer interested hockey players a class that teaches
fundamental hockey skills. These skills include skating, stick-handling, passing and shooting.
This 8 week class is open to girls 17 and under with the basic hockey and skating skills.

'Relax, It's Just A Game'
Recognizing that aggressive adult behavior is on the rise at young sporting events, USA Hockey and Hockey Canada have partnered to launch a series of public service announcements targeting parental behavior. Lampooning the overzealous, the TV, radio and print PSAs are clever, witty and designed to encourage parents to think to themselves, "Relax, Its Just A Game."

Adults who have their children in the sport of ice hockey want the
ability to make decisions based on facts. Currently, there is
information available on every facet of hockey. Accessing that
information and understanding the content is a continuing problem.
Hockey Education Adult Resource (H.E.A.R) is intended to consolidate existing information in a
format that is educational, understandable, and self-evaluating.
Hockey is a complex sport that requires an informed consumer. The
parents of many of our participants have never played the game of ice
hockey and have a limited knowledge of the sport. They have
developed misconceptions about youth hockey based upon exposure
to professional levels of play and from others, who give well
intentioned, but inaccurate information. Informed parents will be able
to make decisions about their child's involvement in hockey based on
an understanding of the sport and their child's individual needs.
